With a bit of equipment and a bag of sugar, the confectioner began to invent candies.<br\/>First, the Dancing Bears, candy made from licorice, introduced in 1925.<br\/>The company flourished, but World War II significantly reduced production.<br\/>Hans Riegel passed away in 1945, but the company remained in the family thanks to his wife and then his children.<br\/>Haribo arrived in France in 1967 with the acquisition of a candy factory in Marseille, which became Haribo-France. Haribo-France merged with the company Ricql\u00e8s-Zan, based in Uz\u00e8s.
