On the heritage side, the city of Avignon will satisfy your thirst for history and architecture with its monuments and museums: the famous Pont d’Avignon and the Palais des Papes are must-see attractions. You won’t want to miss discovering the village of Les Baux-de-Provence and its 11th-century ruined troglodyte castle.

Culture lovers: Avignon awaits you, with its famous festival of course, but also its old stones. The Palais des Papes and its museum will teach you everything about the daily life of the papacy for more than 500 years. Another popular way to discover the city is a cruise in Avignon, to discover the landscape from a different perspective. For sports enthusiasts, there are plenty of options: canoeing or kayaking on the Durance, hiking in the Alpilles, etc. La Roquette campsite is also the starting point for numerous cycle-touring trails. In terms of leisure activities, Parc Spirou will delight your children.
